In-Person Papa Waʻa
Rules are:
|
on-site protocols
All personnel, who come to Kaʻalaea, must pass our health check in and check out. In saying that, when we have groups visit Kaʻalaea for Papa Waʻa, our protocols may differ from group to group.
Here is what we have thus far. |
Hālau Holomoana
When there is an in-person session, all staff and students who are in the group must start the COVID-19 Self Health Screening 7 days prior to program. We feel this is one of many ways that help monitor our health and discourage any potential contact with COVID. Hālau Holomoana (HH). |
Waivers
Most of the groups serviced by KVA, must complete our program waivers including a COVID-19 Liability Waiver. If we are to meet in person, they must also turn in a health form . |
Mālama Hōnua PCS
Different from Hālau Holomoana (HH), these students go to school 2 days out of the week, where the school also requires health check-ins. When students are dropped off to Kaʻalaea, we only check their temperature (must be below 100.4 degrees). |

Check In &
Check Out Form This document is used for our on-site check in. For staff use: it is placed in a conspicuous place with a thermometer placed right next to it. For all visitors, students, and teachers: we (the KVA team) will check you all in and out using this form or the form below. |
COVID-19 Daily Self Health Screening Form
This is a pdf version of the Health Screening that is mentioned above in the HH section. KVA team members may also use this form to check our guests, students, and teachers in and out of our program.
*** Side-note: our HH staff and students must complete this form daily starting sevens days prior to our in-person session together. This is one of many ways we are able monitor our health and or discourage any potential contact with COVID-19. |
